Guillaume leads the Micro-Nano Optics group at CSEM, pushing forward the design, manufacture, and application of miniature and subwavelength optical elements.

Guillaume Basset is an expert in micro-optics, optical document security, diffractive and subwavelength optics, resonant waveguide gratings, and micro-/nano-structuring. Graduating in 2007 from INP Grenoble, Politecnico di Torino, and EPFL in nanotechnologies for integrated systems, he has since managed projects spanning security features for banknotes and ID documents, optics for space, telecom/datacom, consumer electronics, lasers, biology, and more. He has also developed and optimized processes for origin-mastering and replication of micro- and nano-optical structures.
