Daniele Brunazzo recently joined CSEM in the role of Business Development Manager, with a focus on micro and nano-optics, MEMS, and sensors. He gained valuable experience at four different universities during his Master's in Micro and Nanotechnologies, and subsequently obtained a PhD in nanophotonics and micro-optics at the EPFL and the Politecnico di Torino.  He is passionate about innovation and novel technology that has a tangible and positive impact on people's everyday lives.

He began his professional career at PreSens Precision Sensing GmbH, an industry leader in the field of chemical optical sensing for O2, pH, and CO2, in the role of International Sales Manager. His responsibilities included the expansion of the company's business activities in the APAC region. In 2015, he transitioned to the consumer electronics industry, joining OSRAM Opto-Semiconductors GmbH in Regensburg as Application Marketing Manager. His focus was on Vital Sign Monitoring applications and PPG sensors, supplying leading companies in the smartphone and wearable technology sectors. Prior to relocating to Switzerland in July 2024, he was employed at Bosch Sensortec GmbH in Reutlingen, market leader for consumer electronic MEMS. He held various roles at the company, consistently working at the cutting edge of innovation. These included Senior Product Manager and Senior Expert in the field of optical sensing and smart glasses systems, where he collaborated with leading industry players globally.
